Thermal Storage Finland Oy moves towards profitable growth and internationalisation, Olli Liitola appointed to the Board of Directors

Thermal Storage Finland (TSF) continues to work towards profitable growth and internationalisation in line with its strategy. The company has already published the first letter of intent for a hybrid thermal power plant in Germany and the offer portfolio in Finland is developing as planned. Interest in CO2-free heating is currently very high, with all eyes already on the coming heating season. The service model launched by the company in the spring has also attracted great interest, bringing immediate savings on heating costs as soon as the hybrid thermal power plant is installed at the customer’s premises.

TSF’s Board of Directors was completed with a hard-working professional when Olli Liitola joined the Board. CEO Janne Ritakoski is naturally very impressed by Olli’s willingness to devote his time to developing the company in the desired direction. “Olli has more than 30 years of experience in the private equity industry in various management positions within the CapMan Group and a strong track record of board work for companies seeking growth and internationalisation. He has a genuine interest in our technology and our solutions for clients and this, combined with strong business skills, will be very supportive in achieving our goals. As a person, Olli complements well the company’s board, bringing more professionalism to board work, but also an appropriate degree of relaxedness and confidence, maintaining a natural and solution-oriented approach to our work.” – Janne says.

In addition to Olli, Asko Dahlbom, Chairman, and Juha Niemi, Panu Valkeinen and Antti Koivisto will continue as members of the Board of Directors. Olli has already had the opportunity to get to know the board members and operations on a general level and is looking forward to the journey ahead towards growth and internationalisation. “I first heard about TSF almost two years ago when the company’s CFO Juha Jaskari told me about a planned project to build CO2-free hybrid thermal power plants. I was immediately struck by the idea and the potential and asked to hear more about the project as it progressed. Now that the first plants are up and running and have proven their ability to deliver direct savings in energy costs, it is the right time to scale up both here in Finland and internationally. There is a lot of potential in this market and our task, especially at this early stage, is to maximise it through customer understanding and active engagement. I believe I can help in this task.” – Olli comments.
