Niemi Palvelut wanted a solution for the heating of its office building and logistics centre in Konala, Helsinki, that would support everyday operational reliability, reduce emissions and make the whole more manageable. With an annual heating demand of 1,150 MWh and a size of 12,300 square metres, the impact is directly visible at scale. After implementation, the site will be disconnected from district heating and the emission reductions will amount to 102 000 kg per year, which makes the change tangible in terms of both cost and sustainability.
