SE Mäkinen was looking for a solution for its logistics centre that would make heating predictable and reduce oil dependency in everyday life. The emphasis was on reliability and clear controllability: heat must be available without surprises, even when the load fluctuates and the building is in full use. The entire TSF was sized for an annual heating demand of 660 MWh, with the objective of achieving a tangible change in the use of oil. The end result is directly reflected in consumption: oil consumption was reduced by 85%.
